Innovation Associates Inc. will design and build a high-volume pharmacy automation system to replace the one currently being used at Kaiser Permanente's central-fill facility in Denver.

A spokesman points out that Innovation's high-volume system will be capable of filling 12,000 prescriptions during one of the center's eight-hour shifts and will be expandable to fill 20,000 prescriptions per shift.
