Elephant boutiques will open in 12 Saks stores

BERKELEY, Calif. -- Elephant Pharmacy is opening Elephant Wellness Boutiques and Kiosks in 12 department stores operated by Saks Department Store Group (SDSG).

The boutiques and kiosks carry a selection of natural cosmetics and body care products, natural remedies, yoga and meditation accessories and high-quality vitamins and supplements.

"The response from our customers to the Elephant Wellness Boutiques and Kiosks is surprise and excitement, as these are products not typically found in department stores," says George Jones, president and chief executive officer of SDSG.

"Wellness, beauty and health items are increasingly important to our target customers," he says.

Both Elephant Pharmacy and SDSG are pleased with the initial response from shoppers and will consider expanding the business relationship in 2005.
