Namdeb sets 10 million carat target for 2010.(FACETS)

Despite reduced net profits for the half year June 30, 2006, Namdeb, the Namibian diamond mining company jointly owned by the Namibian government and De Beers, plans on increasing diamond production to achieve a 10 million carat target set for 2010, reports The Namibia Economist.

One of the problems being faced by Namdeb is that Namibia's land based reserves are declining.
