It's no secret that the past 18 months have been extremely tough for e-commerce--particularly in the jewelry sector. The industry has seen one e-tailer after another struggle under financial strain, and a number of high-profile sites have folded within two years or less of their launches.

But despite this negative dot-com environment, Andin International believes it has come up with a winning formula in Jewelry.com.

The New York City-based volume jewelry manufacturer bought the rights to the Jewelry.com name in late 2000 from now defunct e-taller Miadora.com and relaunched the site in November 2001.
