A two-slot CompactPCI backplane with a 7U form factor targets low-profile, 1U horizontal chassis. The unit includes two power hugs for ground and one power bug each for 3.3- and 5-V supplies. It provides one power blade each for 12 V, -12 V, and PS-ON. Two power blades are integrated for voltage I/O. Three 12-V fan tray headers are located on the front of the backplane, with one additional header located on the back. The unit employs a thin-profile design next to the power bugs to ease cable access from the rear of the chassis. A backplane stiffener helps prevent bowing, increasing unit reliability.
