Packing a punch -- cannon ammunition; cannon are often overlooked when armoured warfare is considered. While most attention is usually given to the large calibre armour perforators, the smaller cannon calibres tend to get side-tracked. Yet in numerical and utility terms they can form the backbone of mechanised infantry fire support, as well as for low level air defence and numerous naval applications.
