Seppic's Extramel line was awarded the 2008 European Anti-Stress Promising Ingredient of the Year from Frost & Sullivan.
Developed by Bionov and marketed by Seppic, the range offers an all-natural ingredient derived from cantaloupe melons containing superior antioxidant properties, according to the company. Extramel C, the cosmetic active ingredient, entraps excess free radicals and provides photo protection for the skin against premature aging.
The award criteria were based on the degree of innovation and customer satisfaction in addition to the new product excelling in one or more factors including: industry significance, competitive advantage, unique technology, value added services to customers and competition comparison.
