Revlon earns patent for acidic antiperspirant

> * Patent No. US 6,749,841 B2: Revlon Consumer Products Corp., New York, NY, patented a method to inhibit the loss of gel strength in an acidic aqueous-based solid antiperspirant containing one or more polysaccharides. The process involves heating a mixture of polysaccharides and water to obtain a homogeneous mixture, heating the acidic antiperspirant active (amino acid metallic salt) and a gel degradation inhibitor separately, combining mixtures and cooling the formulation to room temperature.
