MANY MANUFACTURERS FIND THEMSELVES trying to solve the Toyota Production System conundrum: More and more, adopters of the lean manufacturing practices of TPS find they aren't guaranteed a competitive edge. TPS merely brings their manufacturing prowess on par with other adopters.
