The North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers has released its "Workplace and Health Manual" to help the industry develop effective safety programs in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.

Now under new administration, OSHA is expected to shift its priorities from inspections intended to generate citations to cooperative efforts with employers to improve health and safety in the workplace, said a NAFEM spokesperson. To create its safety and health manual, NAFEM worked with Donald Espach, a workplace safety and health consultant.
