Nike's Spurs' star Robinson will put Force into TV ad skit

NEW YORK -- San Antonio Spurs center David Robinson knows basketball, and he is ready to spell it out in Nike's new advertising campaign, which spoofs the popular children's television program "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood."

The "Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood" television commercials introduce Robinson as the spokesperson for the Force collection, complete with the new $135 Air Command Force, a basketball shoe that features a pump fit system in the collar.

At last week's press conference here, Nike unveiled five 30-second Robinson commercials scheduled to begin airing during the NBA play-offs April 28 and to run through the end of the year.
