Nike goes the extra mile for women's runners
NEW YORK -- Nike Inc., which has offered shoes built on a woman's last since 1987, is further addressing women's specialized needs in its holiday introduction of the Air Structure, a running model designed to compensate for pronation caused by broader hips.
The women's Air Structure, set to retail for $100, is offered at the same price as the Air Max cushioning model, but is designed to offer more stability for feet that turn inward, said Tom Clarke, vice president of marketing for Nike, Beaverton, Ore.
