Madonna may soon materialize on Reebok's TV commercials
NEW YORK -- Is the shoe industry ready for Madonna?
It better be, because it appears the Material Girl soon may sign a multi-million dollar agreement to appear in advertisements for Reebok International Ltd., Stoughton, Mass.
Although Reebok officials would not comment last week on reports they were close to signing Madonna, sources close to the situation said Reebok had held several meetings with Madonna and her representatives and was close to announcing a contract.
Madonna always exerts a good amount of control over the creative aspects of her commercials, the sources said and the contract may be held up pending her approval.
