Foot Locker values sales staff
TUCSON - Foot Locker's most important asset is its sales force, reflected in the fact that each new employee, called a management trainee, is put through an extensive training and educational experience, said Chad Layton, vice president of sales/personnel administration for the New York-based athletic shoe chain.
"The customer expects everyone to be as sharp as the manager," said Layton who spoke during a two-day multi-store retailing conference in Tucson, sponsored by the National Shoe Retailers Association (NSRA), Columbia, Md.
