MIAMI - Parisian design duo Olivier and Nawal Rabbath, who own International Design and Production Inc., offer consumers their personal footwear design philosophy with their "Your Shoe" collection.
Since premiering their wares in the U.S. two years ago at the Fashion Footwear Association show in New York (FFANY), the Rabbaths have stepped from handmade "crazy shoes for artists," described Nawal, into a Miami-based factory production. Despite the update in manufacturing, the husband- and-wife team strives to retain a degree of artistry in their footwear by mixing suede, leather and fabric shoes with trims such as buckles, stitching and an occasional feather.
The casual footwear, described by Olivier as relaxed fashion, conjures up images of Robin Hood...
