Foot Locker's chain stores have changed to meet the marketing needs of the 1990s. The 20-yr-old company has over 1,400 US stores and 300 stores abroad, and it has set the standard for athletic shoe stores. However, it faces increased competition of newer chains and stores, and it may need further innovations to meet the market.
