Reebok International acquired the Ralph Lauren Footwear license in Apr 1996. Reebok's Rockport subsidiary will manage the company and introduce a new Polo Sport athletic footwear product line. There may be endorsements by athletes at a later time. The men's and women's footwear collections are expected to expand with the assistance of Reebok's financial and global marketing capabilities.
