NEW YORK -- Intershoe Inc. has acquired the Ellen Tracy and CoMPANY by Ellen Tracy footwear licenses formerly held by Wolffe Shoe Co. The division will be headed by Bill Baum, group president of Intershoe's wholesale and retail divisions -- VS, Via Spiga, Studio Paolo and Paloma.
The fall '97 Ellen Tracy collection will be the first at retail under the new three-year agreement, with Wolffe delivering spring '97 product to stores. Distribution will be aimed at department and high-end specialty stores, with retail prices from the Ellen Tracy line at $135-$175. Prices for the Company line have not yet been determined.
