To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Venetian footwear industry, the Italian Trade Commission, the Venetian Footwear Manufacturers Association, the Italian Footwear Manufacturer's Association and the Fashion Footwear Association of New York recognized some of the industry's most accomplished figures with the Serenissima Award. Hosted by actor Paul Sorvino, "Venetian FootwearItalian Magic" was held at New York's Cipriani Wall Street.
Subsequent to the awards presentation, checks from funds raised by the FFANY Shoes on Sale program were presented to five breast cancer research hospitals.
