Classic footwear styles for sophisticated women have kept Nicole's Designer Shoes in business for nearly 17 years. The Tampa, Fla., retailer -- located in the residential community of Belleair Bluffs -- offers an array of 25 brands, including Anne Klein, Yves St. Laurent, Van Eli, Denise James and Paul Mayer.
Although many of the shoes the 2,500-square-foot store carries are timeless designs, they are often not found elsewhere in the area.
Owner Nicole Gosch worked as a registered nurse for two years before deciding to open her store in 1982. When a dress shop bowed in the plaza where Nicole's Designer Shoes is now located, Gosch noticed an opening in the market.
