LOS ANGELES -- In an effort to infuse its brand with a blast of Italian panache and gain a leg up in the ever-competitive athletic-footwear market, Fila Holding S.p.A., Biella, Italy, has teamed up with Italian design company Pininfarina Group to develop a new performance running shoe.
Known for designing stylish and technologically innovative performance automobiles -- most notably the Ferrari -- Milan, Italy,-based Pininfarina will work closely with Fila to develop the entire concept of the shoe.
