The old world frequently mixes with the new Hong Kong. Customers at sidewalk cafes order shrimp cooked live over a propane flame while chatting on the tiniest cell phones, and steel skyscrapers lining the shores of Victoria Harbour are surrounded by fragile-looking bamboo scaffolding.

At shoe retailer Master Shop, designing duo and owners Seven Tong and Tong Tong capture this same old-meets-new sentiment. The small store, nestled in the Kowloon neighborhood, provides a showcase for the designers' quaint, hand-tailoring methods and edgy footwear looks.
