NEW YORK -- Nike Golf will tee off a golf starter set for kids inspired by Tiger Woods and featuring shoes at retail for holiday.
Called the Nike Golf Learning System, the set targets children, ages 4 to 14, and includes clubs -- a driver, mid-iron, wedge and putter -- a carry bag, a Stretch Jr. glove and balls, as well as the Nike Sport Jr. golf shoe.
"Equipment forms the foundation for a child being introduced to golf," Woods said in a statement. "Without a strong foundation they are less likely to stick with it." Woods added his expertise to the development of the starter set from his experience as a child learning to play the game.
