The three-day WWD/DNR Apparel CEO Summit, held this month, included such industry leaders as Ralph Lauren, Gucci Group's Domenico De Sole and Saks Inc.'s Brad Martin -- revealed not just how the rules have changed, but what those changes mean for the future.

Acknowledging the summit's theme, "Fashion's New Rules," opening keynote speaker Ralph Lauren said, "There are no rules. There were never rules. If there were rules, that's a problem."
