Anyone who has worked alongside Wolverine World Wide Chairman Geoffrey Bloom over his 16 years at the company would agree that his passion for product is rivaled only by his passion for people. It's this combination that helped the company navigate an unprecedented turnaround in the early '90s, and continues to drive it.
Bloom has kept a watchful eye on Wolverine's books over the years and remains a hands-on chairman, always available in person or via phone. He was initially recruited by the company in 1987 -- while serving as CEO of Jaymar Ruby Inc., a division of Hartmarx Inc. -- for his expertise in product and marketing rather than finance.
