Another footwear-related book is about to hit shelves and this one is devoted to "shoe astrology." In "The Perfect Fit: What Your Shoes Say About You" ($12.95, Chronicle Books), author Meghan Cleary has created a horoscope guide that tells readers what their shoes say about them.

"Monday morning, you might be a Mary Jane girl, and Friday night you might be a high-heel mule girl," Cleary said. "The book is really a guide to get you thinking, `How do I feel when I'm wearing a certain shoe?"'

It does so with detailed shoe profiles that attempt to answer astrological questions such as, "Which career will sweep you off your feet?" and "Who is your arch supporter?" In addition, a questionnaire...
