Jacqueline Segal is determined to bring new talent into an old establishment.
The director of accessories at Le Bon Marche, located on Paris' Left Bank, has steadily built up an eclectic collection of 80 brands, including independent designers such as Rupert Sanderson, Maloles, Karine Arabian, Hollywould, Estelle Yomeda and Jean-Michel Cazabat.
While she may have added new names to the Parisian institution that dates back to 1852, Segal admits it isn't easy carrying labels that don't have the consumer recognition of international luxury brands.
