LOS ANGELES - Greg Tunney is returning to the footwear industry.
One year after stepping down from his post as president and CEO of Phoenix Footwear Group, Tunney was named president and COO of slipper manufacturer R.G. Barry Corp.
Tunney said that in his new role, he will strive to continue the Pickerington, Ohio-based company's turnaround efforts and increase the design appeal of its products.
"I think R.G. Barry has always been more of a value proposition in the marketplace," he said. "Come spring '07 and going forward from there, you'll definitely see a much stronger emphasis on style and fashion."
