JONES APPAREL GROUP TAPS TWO TOP FOOTWEAR EXECUTIVES.(Andrew Cohen and Heather Pech)

NEW YORK - Jones Apparel Group is shaking things up.

Last week, the company announced several management changes that it says will help it jump-start growth.

Andrew Cohen, former group president of l.e.i. and Energie, has been named president of wholesale footwear and accessories, a newly created position.

Heather Pech, former CEO of the Polo Jeans business, which is being sold to Polo Ralph Lauren, has been named president of company-owned retail footwear and apparel. She will replace Carol Massoni, who will exit the firm at the end of this month.

Both Cohen and Pech will report to Rhonda Brown, president and CEO of the footwear, accessories and retail group.
