With all indications that warmer temperatures in New York aren't too far off, city dwellers are heading out to the local parks in droves. Footwear News recently visited Bryant Park, a popular lunch spot, to poll female consumers about their spring buying plans.

A recent mild April day found several New Yorkers in the mood to shop for spring styles.

Ballet flats and wedges were overwhelmingly popular choices, while designer brands like Dries van Noten, Marc Jacobs, Chlo, Prada and Chanel topped many a wish list. And it appears that women are willing to fork over the cash necessary to procure pricier styles this spring.
