PUMA EXCEEDS GOALS, LOOKS TO EXPAND.

LOS ANGELES - The good times continue to roll for Puma.

The brand has already exceeded the goals it set for the first year of its Phase IV business plan, which kicked off Jan. 1, in terms of sales, regional expansion and category growth, Puma CEO Jochen Zeitz said in an interview with Footwear News.

"We had originally anticipated growth of 20 [percent] to 25 percent in the first year, and we have taken that up to 35 percent," said Zeitz, who noted that this week's World Cup will play a large role in boosting additional sales, as well as expanding Puma's brand presence worldwide.
