NEW YORK - Pentland Group has added another footwear brand to its rapidly growing stable.
The company revealed last week it has acquired a substantial stake in Hunter Boot Ltd., recognized globally for its iconic green Wellington boots. (The company declared the equivalent of Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the U.K. in March.)
Pentland's acquisition coincides with Scotland-based Hunter's 150th anniversary, and marks the brand's first major push into the U.S. market.
