LONDON - Upscale British men's label Oliver Sweeney is taking its first steps toward international expansion.

The 16-year-old brand, which has recently seen significant growth in the U.K., is working to establish a presence outside its home turf, particularly in the U.S. and Italy, Andrew Marshall, managing director for Oliver Sweeney, told Footwear News.

"Outside the U.K., we don't have a presence at all," Marshall said, adding that over the last five years sales have increased from 10,000 pairs per year to 50,000 pairs.
