Toy Story
German athletic giant Adidas has teamed up with Fisher-Price, a division of El Segundo, Calif.-based Mattel, to produce and market a small line of co-branded footwear and apparel for infants. Emphasizing the toy maker's deep heritage, the hook-and-loop closure crib shoes incorporate elements such as a built-in rattle on the strap. In addition, each pair comes packaged with two Fisher-Price Roll-a-Rounds toys as a special gift-with-purchase. The shoes, set to launch for spring '07, will retail for $25 at select department, baby specialty and sporting goods stores, as well as at Adidas concept stores. Completing the Adidas/Fisher-Price lineup are coordinating two-piece "jogging" sets ($50) and caps ($13).
