LOS ANGELES - Titan Industries is prepping for a high-profile relaunch of its three-year-old Joey O label.

CEO Joe Ouaknine told Footwear News that the company had hired designer Rod Beckett, former VP and creative director for JM Shoes Group, to oversee its footwear program and be the exclusive designer for the Joey O brand.

Ouaknine said that the $90-to-$120 price point and juniors' target consumer would remain the same, but he hoped that Beckett would add design continuity to the brand. Also, he said, the goal is to expand the line's department store distribution both in terms of the number of doors and shelf space.
