LOS ANGELES - Isack Fadlon is expanding his reach outside the retail arena.

The owner of Sportie LA has launched a new branding and marketing company called SLAM, for Sportie LA Media.

Through the new venture, Fadlon plans to work closely with footwear clients to develop and produce viral video campaigns distributed over the Web.

"Video is the cornerstone of what we're doing," said Fadlon. "TV commercials are unaffordable to most brands. This new source, which we call video and virals, is a way of sending a message but not throwing information down somebody's throat. It's a more creative way to deliver content."
