NEW YORK - Hennes & Mauritz, the Swedish retailer known for its fast fashion, is entering the footwear game.

This spring, the retailer, which counts more than 1,300 doors in 24 countries, will offer a full women's assortment of about 40 styles. The collection will hit shelves in February and will be priced from $19 to $69.90.

"Shoes, in general, have become such an important accessory," said Jennifer Uglialoro, PR manager for the U.S., during a tour of the retailer's New York showroom. "It just makes sense to have a full footwear line."
