Marcel Wanders designs something for just about everyone.
The 43-year-old Dutch designer has garnered a loyal following for his modern interpretations of everything from chairs to hotels to home accessories. The common thread? The not-so-common visual value behind each of his works, no matter how big or small. Take his arresting "Airborne Snotty" vase, for example: A graceful, flowing mass, it was inspired, yes, by the substance that comes out of your nose.
