When Greg Tunney was named president and COO of accessories footwear firm R.G. Barry Corp. in February 2006, he was handed the delicate job of striking the right balance between the old and the new. While R.G. Barry's iconic Dearfoams slipper brand has kept generations of customers' feet warm and cozy, Tunney quickly realized that in order to connect with a more modern consumer, the Pickerington, Ohio-based company had to update its core product, as well as appeal to customers' active lifestyles.
