DSW REVAMPS STORE DESIGN, LAYOUT.(DSW Shoe Warehouse)

NEW YORK - DSW is rolling out a new store design in an effort to enhance its image and boost business.

The retailer plans to showcase the revamped look in at least 30 new stores by year's end. Ranging from 15,000 square feet to 17,000 square feet in size, the majority of stores are opening in high-traffic lifestyle centers with fashion co-tenants, a development model that President Peter Horvath has been implementing since joining the company in 2005.

"One of the main things Peter Horvath brought to the company was better selection for store locations," said Jeff Mintz, a Wedbush Morgan analyst. "They have a lot of growth potential in the U.S."
