Dedham, Mass.--The worldwide human-machine interface (HMI) software market will grow at a 9.9% compound annual growth rate CAGR from more than $461 million in 2000 to almost $741 million through 2005, according to a study by ARC Advisory Group. ARC reports that one-stop-shopping packages offered by PLC companies are hurting most independents. Users buy HMI as a bundled control system component, which includes the PLC.
