Instrumentation and control systems upgrades are never easy. That's what Reliant Energy's Unionville Compressor Station management discovered when they searched for a system that could handle additional pressure and temperature transmitters to increase accuracy in measuring natural gas flow into and out of storage wells. The northern Louisiana compressor station treats, compresses, stores, then distributes gas to end-users in the St. Louis, Missouri area. The facility stores about 30.2 billion cubic feet of "working" gas.
