Steelcase wins ASID/Interior Design Award - hum ho; so what else is new? We're about to tell.
For starters: this was the third consecutive year that the firm's NEOCOM exhibit at the Chicago Merchandise Mart was so honored. For background: though opened in 1989, the 32,000-sq.-ft./two level space has never been radically altered but has, instead, been annually amended. This year's winning redesign was the work of staff designer John Ziech. In his absence, Joyce Bromberg, the 1990 honoree (since then promoted to take charge of strategic planning), supplies the update.
