Steelcase re-surfaces. (Steelcase Inc.'s new surface materials program)

In the end, it all seemed so simple. In fact, the process undertaken by Joyce Bromberg of Steelcase was Herculean: to pull together a surface materials program that was easy to specify, appealing to designers and able to cross all Steelcase product lines covering all parts. The "before" picture involved separate color palettes for different product lines, causing nightmarish specification writing, and frequent lack of color compatibility. Now, rather than spending time figuring out what the colors are called and if they will coordinate, designers can spend their time playing with the interrelated palette.
