Ajax Induction Services recently completed refurbishment of one of the world's largest induction heating coils for the NASA Glenn Research Centers Plum Brook Station, Sandusky, OH. Ajax originally developed the coil in 1964. It was the largest induction heating coil in the world back then and today it is still believed to be one of the largest coils of this type ever built. The coil was taken out of operation in 1996 after more than 30 years of service. The refurbishment was a major project requiring experienced craftsmen, expert attention to detail, and high tech facilities and capabilities
