Trimag s.e.c. has begun pre-production testing on its new diecasting plant at Boisbriand, PQ. The first construction phase was completed under budget and ahead of schedule, anticipating a full start by year's end and product shipments by February 2003.

Trimeg is a high-pressure magnesium diecasting operation, the first magnesium parts manufacturing plant in Quebec. Its output will be instrument panel structures, to start, but the company says it will be capable of "rapid integration of any new program."
