Whalen new Intermet CFO.(appointment of William H. Whalen )(Brief article)

Intermet Corp. reports that William H. Whalen has joined the company as its new vice president of Finance and chief financial officer. Whalen, who has been a financial executive with automotive supplier Magna Intl., replaces Bob Belts and will assume responsibility for all financial operations of Intermet.
Whalen brings with him 25 years of experience in various manufacturing and financial positions, including 15 years in the Tier 1 automotive supply sector. With Magna he led the finance organization for the group's Intier Automotive Interiors operations in North America and Asia.
He holds a M.B.A. from the University of Virginia, is a C.P.A. and C.M.A., and he has experience implementing "best-in-class" financial processes and procedures.
