Futures brokers are starting to use online order entry to take advantage of faster transaction processing, less errors made by both client and broker, and lesser expenses. However, futures trader Gary Fritz is still reluctant to use online order entry because of reliability issues. He feels that there are too many components of the chain which can be broken. CFOS CEO Vincent G. Nolan also believes that the speed of transaction processing is actually increased because of other components in the chain such as printing the order and processing by a floor trader.
