CBOT moves MidAm upstairs, launches mini Dow futures.(Chicago Board of Trade information services)(Brief Article)

Long before the advent of e-mini contracts, young traders could cut their teeth trading downsized contracts on the MidAmerica Exchange (MidAm), an affiliate of the CBOT. Now the CBOT will offer those contracts electronically--announcing in June that they are decommissioning the MidAm and converting its eight most popular contracts into CBOT mini contracts to be traded on the a/c/e platform.

The decision comes on the heels of a CBOT announcement to offer a mini version of its Dow Jones futures contract on the a/c/e platform.
