Nymex has postponed the date it plans to migrate its e-mini (miNY) futures contracts to its Clearport platform from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's (CME) Globex electronic trading platform to July 19.
Nymex launched these two mini products on Globex as part of a partnership with the CME because the CME had experience with mini contracts. The e-mini futures contracts have recently set volume records at Nymex and now Nymex would like to see these products on their Clearport platform, which was developed after the agreement with the CME.
The August Nymex mini crude oil futures contract will expire on the Globex platform at 2:30 p.m. EST on July 19, and the August contract will be launched on Clearport the same day at 3:15 p.m. EST. The August Nymex...
